Was the FCC throwing him off the air? Problems on the set? What caused two cancelled tapings of "The Colbert Report" last week?
It turns out that Stephen Colbert was visiting his ailing 91-year-old mother. The two, by all reports, are very close. And his mother seems to be on the mend. During last night's show, Colbert wrapped up with, "Oh, and one more thing. Evidently having 11 children makes you tough as nails. Confidential to a lovely lady," following with a small salute.
Another boy who proudly and publicly loves his mama. And who seems to be doing pretty well.
A son visiting his ailing 91 year old mother does not a "mama's boy" make. That is called loving your parents....that is called normal in my book.
Mama's boy is what you described when you wrote chatting daily on Google (actually, you said, SEVERAL times a day) in addition to frequent nightly phone calls. Now THAT is a mama's boy and quite honestly, very unhealthy whether it be a daughter or a son. That is excessive and far over-reaching into your child's adult life.
I wonder how his future wife will feel when her husband shares all details with her and chats multiple times a day on google and the phone?
I doubt you'll find one woman who will appreciate that.
